Low point of the day: We have to say goodbye to daddy who is staying behind…Mom’s heart sinks as she wonders, Can I handle these kids for six nights on my own?High point of the day: We learn that our hotel, the Best Western Royal Oak, is a block from Laguna Lake Park. After relaxing in the hot tub at the hotel, we follow a trail that winds through grassy fields and leads us to a playground sitting right on a lake.
