The Best Western Hospitality House in Midtown Manhattan earns the highest rating from my 5-year-old daughter, Paris.
“This is fabulous! Oh my goodness, this is so fabulous,” she exclaimed when she stepped into our room.
Paris walked into the small kitchen and opened the refrigerator: “Wow, strawberries and grapes! I love this place! And look cream cheese and bagels! Mmm..."
Into the living room, where she plopped down on a soft, cushy couch. "Look at how big the TV is! And I love this couch. This is where my baby dolls will sleep."
Next, the bedroom: “There’s a television in the bedroom. Can you believe that? We have two televisions!”
Finally, the bathroom: "This is the cutest bathroom I've ever seen! The sink is adorable!"
My daughter isn’t exaggerating. The Hospitality House, where our family is staying our first two nights in NYC, is fabulous. Housed in a former apartment building, the Midtown hotel offers spacious rooms with kitchens, living rooms, and separate bedrooms. What's more, the rooms have old-world charm—gleaming hardwood floors, box ceilings, and a pedestal sink and black-and-white tile in the bathroom. Daily in-room continental breakfast is provided; the hotel actually stocks your refrigerator with milk, fruit, bagels, cream cheese, orange juice, and cereal. It's the perfect spot for families, anyone wanting a little more space, and 5-year-old girls. "Mama? Can we live here?" Paris asked, while lounging on the couch rocking her baby doll and watching cartoons.
