Quirky, Kid-Sized Museums

There's a wonderful little (pun intended!) post up at the Best Western Blog on tiny museums across the country. Ever taken your kids to one of our nation's massive, quite impressive, but seemingly endless museums? Then you know that, although they may enjoy parts of the experience, there's a limit to how much they can absorb before the "I'm booooored"s kick in. (After all, even adults get museum fatigue!)

Thank goodness, then, for small-scale museums - and the ones rounded up by Best Western's Senior Travel Expert Sam Lowe are especially tiny, and fantastically bizarre. How about paying a visit to the Broste Rock Museum in North Dakota? It's built entirely from (and filled with), you guessed it, rocks! Then there's the Bottle Room in New Mexico's Lordsburg-Hildago Museum, pictured about, filled with a collection of 15,000 highly unusual bottles.
