Seattle family travel rule No. 3: Bed down at the foot of the Space Needle

We didn't need a night light in our room at the Best Western Plus Executive Inn in Seattle Center. The brightly lit Space Needle stood right outside our window, giving our room a soft glow.

I wouldn't let my husband close the black-out curtains when we went to bed because as I fell asleep I wanted to gaze outside at the sleek structure topped with a sphere that looks like a fly saucer. There's something really cool about falling asleep with the Space Needle, but then again, there's just something really cool about the Space Needle.
